&lt;p style="margin:0cm 0cm 0pt;text-align:justify"&gt;&lt;span lang=EN-GB style="font-size:10pt;font-family:Arial"&gt;&lt;font color="#000000"&gt; &lt;/font&gt;&lt;/span&gt;
&lt;p style="margin:0cm 0cm 0pt;text-align:justify"&gt;&lt;span lang=EN-GB style="font-size:10pt;font-family:Arial"&gt;&lt;font color="#000000"&gt;Corporal Daniel Barnes (15) was amongst the first to compete in the track events, 100m – Class B Youths.&lt;span style=""&gt;  &lt;/span&gt;He came 4&lt;sup&gt;th&lt;/sup&gt; in his heat but didn’t make it to the final.&lt;/font&gt;&lt;/span&gt;
&lt;p style="margin:0cm 0cm 0pt;text-align:justify"&gt;&lt;span lang=EN-GB style="font-size:10pt;font-family:Arial"&gt;&lt;font color="#000000"&gt; &lt;/font&gt;&lt;/span&gt;
&lt;p style="margin:0cm 0cm 0pt;text-align:justify"&gt;&lt;span lang=EN-GB style="font-size:10pt;font-family:Arial"&gt;&lt;font color="#000000"&gt;Sergeant Matthew Cordon (18) also competed in the 100m – Class C Junior Men.&lt;span style=""&gt;  &lt;/span&gt;He too came 4&lt;sup&gt;th&lt;/sup&gt; but entered a fast time to compete in the final later in the day, but he only came 8&lt;sup&gt;th&lt;/sup&gt;.&lt;/font&gt;&lt;/span&gt;
&lt;p style="margin:0cm 0cm 0pt;text-align:justify"&gt;&lt;span lang=EN-GB style="font-size:10pt;font-family:Arial"&gt;&lt;font color="#000000"&gt; &lt;/font&gt;&lt;/span&gt;
&lt;p style="margin:0cm 0cm 0pt;text-align:justify"&gt;&lt;span lang=EN-GB style="font-size:10pt;font-family:Arial"&gt;&lt;font color="#000000"&gt;Cadet Tim Wells (14) competed in his 1st and 2&lt;sup&gt;nd&lt;/sup&gt; track event of the day in the 400m and 200m – Class B Youths.&lt;span style=""&gt;  &lt;/span&gt;He came 3&lt;sup&gt;rd&lt;/sup&gt; in 400m and 1&lt;sup&gt;st&lt;/sup&gt; in 200m but didn’t achieve a fast enough time to win a medal.&lt;/font&gt;&lt;/span&gt;
&lt;p style="margin:0cm 0cm 0pt;text-align:justify"&gt;&lt;span lang=EN-GB style="font-size:10pt;font-family:Arial"&gt;&lt;font color="#000000"&gt; &lt;/font&gt;&lt;/span&gt;
&lt;p style="margin:0cm 0cm 0pt;text-align:justify"&gt;&lt;span lang=EN-GB style="font-size:10pt;font-family:Arial"&gt;&lt;font color="#000000"&gt;Sergeant Cordon competed in his 2&lt;sup&gt;nd&lt;/sup&gt; track event, also in the 200m in his Class C category.&lt;span style=""&gt;  &lt;/span&gt;He came 4&lt;sup&gt;th&lt;/sup&gt;.&lt;/font&gt;&lt;/span&gt;
&lt;p style="margin:0cm 0cm 0pt;text-align:justify"&gt;&lt;span lang=EN-GB style="font-size:10pt;font-family:Arial"&gt;&lt;font color="#000000"&gt; &lt;/font&gt;&lt;/span&gt;
&lt;p style="margin:0cm 0cm 0pt;text-align:justify"&gt;&lt;span lang=EN-GB style="font-size:10pt;font-family:Arial"&gt;&lt;font color="#000000"&gt;Cadet Martin Thomas (14) competed in the 800m – Class B Youths.&lt;span style=""&gt;  &lt;/span&gt;He came 6&lt;sup&gt;th&lt;/sup&gt;.&lt;/font&gt;&lt;/span&gt;
&lt;p style="margin:0cm 0cm 0pt;text-align:justify"&gt;&lt;span lang=EN-GB style="font-size:10pt;font-family:Arial"&gt;&lt;font color="#000000"&gt; &lt;/font&gt;&lt;/span&gt;
&lt;p style="margin:0cm 0cm 0pt;text-align:justify"&gt;&lt;span lang=EN-GB style="font-size:10pt;font-family:Arial"&gt;&lt;font color="#000000"&gt;Cadet Tom Wells competed in his 2&lt;sup&gt;nd&lt;/sup&gt; track event of 1500 in his Class B category.&lt;span style=""&gt;  &lt;/span&gt;He came 3&lt;sup&gt;rd&lt;/sup&gt; in his heat but again missed out on a fast time to win any medals.&lt;/font&gt;&lt;/span&gt;
&lt;p style="margin:0cm 0cm 0pt;text-align:justify"&gt;&lt;span lang=EN-GB style="font-size:10pt;font-family:Arial"&gt;&lt;font color="#000000"&gt; &lt;/font&gt;&lt;/span&gt;
&lt;p style="margin:0cm 0cm 0pt;text-align:justify"&gt;&lt;span lang=EN-GB style="font-size:10pt;font-family:Arial"&gt;&lt;font color="#000000"&gt;The only girl to compete in a track event was Corporal Sarah Livermore (16).&lt;span style=""&gt;  &lt;/span&gt;She competed in the 1500m – Class E Senior Girls.&lt;span style=""&gt;  &lt;/span&gt;She stated that she normally came last, not because she was slow but because all the other girls behind her dropped out.&lt;span style=""&gt;  &lt;/span&gt;Today was not the case; she didn’t come last – but next to last!&lt;/font&gt;&lt;/span&gt;
&lt;p style="margin:0cm 0cm 0pt;text-align:justify"&gt;&lt;span lang=EN-GB style="font-size:10pt;font-family:Arial"&gt;&lt;font color="#000000"&gt; &lt;/font&gt;&lt;/span&gt;
&lt;p style="margin:0cm 0cm 0pt;text-align:justify"&gt;&lt;span lang=EN-GB style="font-size:10pt;font-family:Arial"&gt;&lt;font color="#000000"&gt;In the field events, the day started with Flight Sergeant Luke Gamble (18) throwing the Javelin and the Shot and then a last minute swap to the Long Jump in the afternoon – Class C Junior Men.&lt;span style=""&gt;  &lt;/span&gt;He came 5&lt;sup&gt;th &lt;/sup&gt;in the Javelin.&lt;/font&gt;&lt;/span&gt;
&lt;p style="margin:0cm 0cm 0pt;text-align:justify"&gt;&lt;span lang=EN-GB style="font-size:10pt;font-family:Arial"&gt;&lt;font color="#000000"&gt;&lt;span style=""&gt; &lt;/span&gt;&lt;/font&gt;&lt;/span&gt;
&lt;p style="margin:0cm 0cm 0pt;text-align:justify"&gt;&lt;span lang=EN-GB style="font-size:10pt;font-family:Arial"&gt;&lt;font color="#000000"&gt;Corporal Kirsty Newton (18) was the only girl to compete in the field events in Long Jump and Javelin – Class E Senior Girls.&lt;/font&gt;&lt;/span&gt;

&lt;p style="margin:0cm 0cm 0pt;text-align:justify"&gt;&lt;span lang=EN-GB style="font-size:10pt;font-family:Arial"&gt;&lt;font color="#000000"&gt;Corporal Barnes competed in his 2&lt;sup&gt;nd&lt;/sup&gt; event of the day in the Discus – Class B.&lt;/font&gt;&lt;/span&gt;
&lt;p style="margin:0cm 0cm 0pt;text-align:justify"&gt;&lt;span lang=EN-GB style="font-size:10pt;font-family:Arial"&gt;&lt;font color="#000000"&gt; &lt;/font&gt;&lt;/span&gt;
&lt;p style="margin:0cm 0cm 0pt;text-align:justify"&gt;&lt;span lang=EN-GB style="font-size:10pt;font-family:Arial"&gt;&lt;font color="#000000"&gt;Cadet Adam Taylor (15), a newcomer to the Squadron, competed in the Long Jump for Class B Youths.&lt;span style=""&gt;  &lt;/span&gt;He gave us all a surprise by winning a Bronze medal.&lt;/font&gt;&lt;/span&gt;

&lt;p style="margin:0cm 0cm 0pt;text-align:justify"&gt;&lt;span lang=EN-GB style="font-size:10pt;font-family:Arial"&gt;&lt;font color="#000000"&gt;The final events for the day were the 4x100m Relays.&lt;span style=""&gt;  &lt;/span&gt;The Squadron only had 1 team in the Class B Youths namely Corporal Barnes and Cadets Taylor, Thomas and Wells.&lt;/font&gt;&lt;/span&gt;

&lt;p style="text-align:justify"&gt;&lt;font size=3&gt;&lt;span lang=EN-GB style="color:black;font-family:Arial"&gt;On Sunday 29&lt;sup&gt;th&lt;/sup&gt; April 2007, 1300 (Sutton-in-Ashfield) Squadron took 20 cadets to the Annual Trent Wing Athletics Championships at Quibell Park, Scunthorpe.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;span lang=EN-GB style="color:#444444;font-family:Arial"&gt; &lt;/span&gt;&lt;span style="color:#444444;font-family:Arial"&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/font&gt;
&lt;p style="text-align:justify"&gt;&lt;font size=3&gt;&lt;span lang=EN-GB style="color:black;font-family:Arial"&gt;Cadets, both boys and girls, were entered into all the track events from 100m to 1500m and 4x100m Relay; and field events ranging from Discus to Long Jump.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;span style="color:#444444;font-family:Arial"&gt; &lt;/span&gt;&lt;span lang=EN-GB style="color:black;font-family:Arial"&gt; &lt;/span&gt;&lt;span lang=EN-GB style="color:#444444;font-family:Arial"&gt; &lt;/span&gt;&lt;span style="color:#444444;font-family:Arial"&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/font&gt;
&lt;p style="text-align:justify"&gt;&lt;font size=3&gt;&lt;span lang=EN-GB style="color:black;font-family:Arial"&gt;The Squadron had no winners this time but they came a close 2&lt;sup&gt;nd&lt;/sup&gt; and 3&lt;sup&gt;rd&lt;/sup&gt; in a few events;  Cpl Christopher Jones (16) came 2&lt;sup&gt;nd&lt;/sup&gt; in his Class B Youths category the discus; Sergeant Matthew Cordon (17) came 2&lt;sup&gt;nd&lt;/sup&gt; and 3&lt;sup&gt;rd&lt;/sup&gt; in 200m and 100m respectively in his Class C Junior Men category.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;span lang=EN-GB style="color:#444444;font-family:Arial"&gt; &lt;/span&gt;&lt;span style="color:#444444;font-family:Arial"&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/font&gt;

&lt;p&gt;&lt;span style="font-size:8.5pt;color:#444444;font-family:Verdana"&gt;Update on the Cross Country event from Sunday 19th November 2006.&lt;/span&gt;
&lt;p&gt;&lt;span style="font-size:8.5pt;color:#444444;font-family:Verdana"&gt;Cadet Aron Marshall (Boys event), Flight Sergeant Matthew Turner and Cadet Luke Armstrong (Youths event) represented our Squadron and Trent Wing at the Regional Cross Country Championships at RAF Cranwell on Sunday 10th December 2006.  Results are as follows:-&lt;/span&gt;
&lt;p&gt;&lt;span style="font-size:8.5pt;color:#444444;font-family:Verdana"&gt;&lt;/span&gt;
&lt;p align=center&gt;&lt;strong&gt;&lt;u&gt;&lt;span style="font-size:8.5pt;color:#444444;font-family:Verdana"&gt;Boys Event&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/u&gt;&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;span style="font-size:8.5pt;color:#444444;font-family:Verdana"&gt;&lt;/span&gt;
&lt;p align=center&gt;&lt;span style="font-size:8.5pt;color:#444444;font-family:Verdana"&gt;Aron Marshall - came 10th&lt;/span&gt;
&lt;p align=center&gt;&lt;span style="font-size:8.5pt;color:#444444;font-family:Verdana"&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;span style="font-size:8.5pt;color:#444444;font-family:Verdana"&gt;Trent Wing came 2nd overall&lt;/span&gt;&lt;span style="font-size:8.5pt;color:#444444;font-family:Verdana"&gt; &lt;/span&gt;
&lt;p align=center&gt;&lt;strong&gt;&lt;u&gt;&lt;span style="font-size:8.5pt;color:#444444;font-family:Verdana"&gt;Youths Event&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/u&gt;&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;span style="font-size:8.5pt;color:#444444;font-family:Verdana"&gt;&lt;/span&gt;
&lt;p align=center&gt;&lt;span style="font-size:8.5pt;color:#444444;font-family:Verdana"&gt;Matthew Turner - came 21st&lt;/span&gt;
&lt;p align=center&gt;&lt;span style="font-size:8.5pt;color:#444444;font-family:Verdana"&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;span style="font-size:8.5pt;color:#444444;font-family:Verdana"&gt;Luke Armstrong - came 10th&lt;/span&gt;
&lt;p align=center&gt;&lt;span style="font-size:8.5pt;color:#444444;font-family:Verdana"&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;span style="font-size:8.5pt;color:#444444;font-family:Verdana"&gt;Trent Wing came 6th overall&lt;/span&gt;
&lt;p align=left&gt;&lt;span style="font-size:8.5pt;color:#444444;font-family:Verdana"&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;span style="font-size:8.5pt;color:#444444;font-family:Verdana"&gt;Although the boys will  not be representing Central &amp;amp; East Region at the Corps Championships; they were presented with a 'Wing Blue' badge for representing Trent Wing.&lt;/span&gt;

&lt;div&gt; &lt;/div&gt;
&lt;div&gt;First up at 1100 hours were the Boys and Junior Girls.  The Squadron had 6 Boys in this category and none in the Junior Girls.&lt;/div&gt;
&lt;div&gt; &lt;/div&gt;
&lt;div&gt;Second to go at 1130 hours were the Youths and the Squadron had 4 entrants.&lt;/div&gt;
&lt;div&gt; &lt;/div&gt;
&lt;div&gt;Last to go at 1200 hours were the Junior Men and Senior Girls - the Squadron had only 1 entrant in the Senior Girls - Sharon Parker.&lt;/div&gt;
&lt;div&gt; &lt;/div&gt;
&lt;div align=center&gt;The results are as follows:&lt;/div&gt;

&lt;div align=center&gt;Matthew Bonser came in at 40th and the finally a while later&lt;/div&gt;
&lt;div align=center&gt;Martin Thomas came 57th and I missed a photo finish of&lt;/div&gt;
&lt;div align=center&gt;Luke Sheffield in at 58th&lt;/div&gt;
&lt;div align=center&gt; &lt;/div&gt;
&lt;div align=center&gt;&lt;u&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Youths event&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/u&gt; in reverse order&lt;/div&gt;
&lt;div align=center&gt; &lt;/div&gt;
&lt;div align=center&gt;Luke Chadburn in at 46th&lt;/div&gt;
&lt;div align=center&gt;Michael Tucker in at 44th&lt;/div&gt;
&lt;div align=center&gt;Matthew Turner wanted 3rd but he got in at 4th &lt;img src="http://1300atc.spaces.live.com/mmm2006-10-27_23.09/rte/emoticons/star.gif"&gt;and finally&lt;/div&gt;
&lt;div align=center&gt;Luke Armstrong came in at 1st &lt;img src="http://1300atc.spaces.live.com/mmm2006-10-27_23.09/rte/emoticons/smile_teeth.gif"&gt;&lt;img src="http://1300atc.spaces.live.com/mmm2006-10-27_23.09/rte/emoticons/star.gif"&gt;&lt;/div&gt;

&lt;div align=center&gt;&lt;strong&gt;&lt;u&gt;Senior Girls event&lt;/u&gt;&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/div&gt;
&lt;div align=center&gt;&lt;strong&gt;&lt;u&gt;&lt;/u&gt;&lt;/strong&gt; &lt;/div&gt;
&lt;div align=center&gt;Sharon Parker came in at 29th&lt;/div&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Therefore, Luke Armstrong and Matthew Turner will represent the Squadron and Trent Wing at the Regional Cross Country Championships on Sunday 10th December 2006 at RAF Cranwell.  Aron Marshall is a first reserve in his category.
&lt;p&gt;For once, we looked forward to staying for the Final Parade where Luke Armstroing was presented with his Gold medal and Trophy for the Squadron.
